This was a wonderful book. The short chapters were full of laughs. And Ms Russell's descriptions were so vivid you actually saw the scenery. I recommend this to ALL armchair travelers.
This book is whimsical, informative, and funny. It's a great slice of life, this is America, type of book. I learned stuff about our country and human nature, and I laughed a great deal too. It's such a fun, easy read, I recommend it for every one!
I love finding unexpected gems out there, and this was one of them. Written by a local author in my area, this memoir chronicles an extended RV trip the author took with her husband, from Ohio to Texas and beyond. Witty, poignant, and wonderfully descriptive, it makes me both want and not want to take a cross-country RV trip. Lots of laugh-out-loud moments and one-liners, usually stemming from the difficulties--but also the joys--of sharing a confined space with a loved one for so many months. All in all, a fun, quick read that offers an entertaining glimpse of RV parks across America.
